Care and cleaning: Regularly and especially after every intensive use, wipe with a damp cloth and leave to dry well. For deeper cleaning, Jade recommends exclusively their very own plant based mat cleaner, as it is specially designed for the needs of Jade mats. Always allow the mat to dry thoroughly after cleaning, preferably hung over a clotheshorse or chair back.

Natural rubber mats should never be cleaned with soap, detergants or oily substances, as this impairs their slip resistance and damages the material. We also strongly advise against cleaning in a washing machine.

Storage: Your Jade Mat must be stored away from sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations, preferably in a yoga mat bag. As natural rubber is very sensitive to sunlight, Jade generally advises against using the mats outside.

Smell: In the beginning natural rubber mats can have a more or less strong smell. The smell is typical for natural rubber material and an indication that no chemical odour binders were used during production. If the smell bothers you, we recommend to leave your new mat outside for 24 hours in a dry place or in a well-ventilated room protected from sunlight, preferably hung over a clotheshorse or chair back.
