Long before yoga mats were developed, yoga was practiced on rugs made of natural materials. With Jade`s natural organic cotton Mysore Yoga Rug, you can recreate this original yoga practice. The rug is still traditionally used in Ashtanga Yoga and is also suitable for all other yoga styles. You can even use it outdoors or on the beach because it is easy to clean and machine washable. For its colouring, Jade uses natural plant dyes from herbs and spices such as indigo, cumin and turmeric. The production takes place in a traditional way in India, where the rugs are woven by hand. This way, Jade supports the local rural craftsmen and women whose livelihood is based on weaving. By buying a yoga rug, you will help Jade provide a needy child in India with a hot lunch for a week.

The Mysore Yoga Rug is suitable for experienced yogis only, as it lacks typical mat properties such as grip and cushioning.
