First impression: The mat surface changes with use and proper care. So if your new mat doesn't seem one hundred percent slip-proof at first, don't worry: the final grip will develop after a short training period.
Care and cleaning: Wipe regularly and especially after each intensive use with a damp cloth and allow to dry thoroughly. For a deeper cleaning, Jade recommends their very own mat cleaner, as it is especially adapted to the needs of Jade yoga mats. Always allow the mat to dry thoroughly after cleaning, preferably hung over a clothes horse or chair back.
Natural rubber mats should never be cleaned with soap or oily substances, as this impairs the slip resistance and damages the natural material. Also, please do not clean your Jade mat in a washing machine.

Storage: Your Jade mat should be stored away from sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations, preferably in a yoga mat bag. As natural rubber is very sensitive to sunlight, Jade generally advises against using the mats outside. If you don't use your mat for a longer period of time, you should still occasionally roll it out and wipe it with a damp cloth to prevent the natural rubber from drying out.
Smell: In the beginning, natural rubber mats can have a particular strong smell. The smell is typical of the natural rubber material and an indication that no chemical odour binders were used in the production process. If you do not like the smell, it is best to let your new mat air out for 24 hours outside in the dry or in a well-ventilated room away from sunlight, preferably hung over a clothes horse or the back of a chair. With time and proper care, the smell will automatically dissipate. You can find more information and tips on odour here.
General information: Jade yoga mats are made of biodegradable natural rubber. This characteristic brings with it a natural wear and tear over the course of use. The Harmony's life span depends on how intensively the mat is used and how it is cared for. Abrasion caused by use is unavoidable after some time, as the roughened surface is literally "sanded" by abrasive movements (e.g. of the heels) - an effect similar to sandpaper. Since abrasion is an effect caused by external mechanical impact, the manufacturer's warranty does not apply in this case.

Super Yogamatte da rutschfest und natürlich
Super Matte! Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung! Der Geruch ist kein Problem und auch halt üblich bei Naturkautschuk. Mich hat es nie gestört...
Ja ich habe auch vorab gelesen, dass die Matte nach Gummi riecht. Jetzt lüfte ich sie schon drei Tage auf der Terrasse, weil der Geruch in der Wohnung nicht aushaltbar ist. Gibts denn einen Tipp, wie man den Geruch überdecken kann? Für mich ist z.Z. nicht

Für mich genau die Richtige
Ich brauchte die Matte für meine Reise zu einem Yoga Retreat an der Ostsee. Ich habe sie als Aufleger auf die vorhandene Matte gelegt. Das war super und die Matte hat genau das erfüllt, was ich von ihr erwartet hatte. Ja sie riecht, aber dadurch, dass sie so dünn ist, verflog der Geruch nach und nach und hat mich nicht weiter gestört.
Geruch extrem
Die Matte an sich wäre genau das was ich mir erhofft hatte.
Aber: Ich kann mich Nicoles Rezension nur anschließen, bis auf die Empfehlung für eine andere Farbwahl. Meine Matte war blau und ich werde es mit keiner weiteren Farbe versuchen. Ich habe die Matte heute leider in der Tonne versenkt, weil sie einfach nicht aufhört nach alter Luftmatratze zu stinken und ich sie daher nichtmal an ein unempfindlicheres Näschen verschenken mag. Schade darum! Und schade um die 40,- €!
Liebes greenyoga-Team, ihr könnt nichts dafür, müsst für mich auch nicht die Standardantwort zum Thema Naturkautschuk posten. Yoga und solch „uninspirierende“ Gerüche gehen für mich auch mit den einleuchtendsten Argumenten nicht zusammen. LG
Liebe/r Ka, es tut uns sehr leid, dass du den Geruch deiner Yogamatte als so störend empfindest. Wir wissen, dass es auch manch anderen Yogis so geht, darum weisen wir an vielen Stellen darauf hin (Produktbeschreibungen, Hilfeseiten usw.). Wenn dich der Geruch von Beginn an und in den ersten 14 Tagen nach dem Kauf stört, kannst du uns eine unbenutzte und unbehandelte Matte selbstverständlich problemlos zurücksenden. sehr dünn und made in USA
Der Einkauf von Materialien ist im Internet doch etwas schwierig! Mir gefällt die Matte und ich werde sie gut nutzen können. Schade finde ich, dass kein Foto der Unterseite, auf der das Gewebe sichtbar ist, hier im Shop eingestellt ist. 1,6 mm ist wirklich sehr dünn. Der Vorteil ist natürlich die Faltbarkeit. Auch hätte ich mir die Information gewünscht, dass die Matte in den USA hergestellt ist und damit sehr lange Transportwege hinter sich hat. Kautschuk, auch mit Erstgeruch ist natürlich toll!

Ich kann die Matte uneingeschränkt empfehlen
Matte gut Geruch übel
Als ich die Matte ausgepackt habe, ist mir direkt der extreme Gummi/ plastikgeruch aufgefallen. Leider war ich nicht direkt „auf zakk“ ich habe die Matte nicht direkt zurückgeschickt. Ich habe mir gedacht, der Geruch verfliegt bestimmt. Denkste... nach mehrmaligem waschen in der Waschmaschine, desinfizieren mit speziellem yogamatten spray und wochenlangem lüften draußen ist der Geruch nach 1/2 Jahr noch da. Eine bekannte hat die gleiche Matte in dunkelgrau, die riecht neutral.roch auch von Anfang an neutral. Nach dem Training riechen selbst meine Klamotten so ekelhaft nach Gummi/ Kunststoff.
Also wählt lieber eine andere Farbe.... die Matte an sich ist ok.
Liebe Nicole, es tut uns sehr leid, dass Sie den Geruch Ihrer Matte als störend empfinden. Er ist jedoch typisch für das natürliche Kautschukmaterial und ein Hinweis darauf, dass bei der Herstellung keine chemischen Geruchsbinder verwendet wurden. Die Matte enthält keinen Kunststoff und kein Plastik. Aufgrund des natürlichen Ursprungs kann der Geruch bei jeder Matte variieren - das liegt nicht an der Farbe, sondern an der Natürlichkeit des Materials und der dadurch gegebenen Einzigartigkeit jeder Matte.
