Mifuko was founded in 2009 by two Finnish designers. Their aim was to combine modern design with traditional Kenyan handicrafts and fair trade. In Swahili, Mifuko means bag - and by fair payment, the label of the same name makes sure that no one is left with empty bags and pockets. With timeless design and high-quality materials, Mifuko creates long-lasting products that can be recycled in an eco-friendly way at the end of their cycle. To highlight the stories of the people behind them, each Mifuko product carries the name of the craftsman who made it.
